This July will mark 40 years since I met George and the Petroff's and from day one they have been like family. I will miss watching the Phillies with George and playing "name that forgettable player". Much love to George Ann, Terry and Vicki and all the gang.

No one could have prepared me for the news of George’s death. However, I take comfort in knowing how many good memories we shared together as a family over the years. I feel blessed to have had a “Dad” that I could count on in good and bad times. One thing that stands out to me is how wonderful you were as a pop-pop. I am so grateful that our kids were able to grow up knowing their pop-pop and how much you loved and cared for them. I hope that I can live up to the high bar you set. You are missed!

George, I first met you when I was 12 yrs old. That’s when you started dating my older sister George Ann, your future bride of 58 1/2 years. That started a lifetime of family, love and memories that will live in my heart and thoughts forever. With all my love, Rest In Peace, your Sister-in-Law Nancy Lou.

I first met George when I began dating his Sister-in-Law, Nancy Lou. It soon became obvious how much he loved and enjoyed the company of his wife and family. He was a good and caring man, and boy did he like his sports. Ask him how any team was doing and he knew the answer and had an opinion. He will be missed. Tom K
