Dear Granny, I light this candle for the strongest woman I have ever known, and equally the sweetest. Erin and I were talking about you the other night. She said, "I always felt like I was Granny's favorite." I replied, "I truly felt that way, too. Like I was Granny's favorite." Erin then said, "she made us all feel like we were her favorite." You have eight grandchildren who will live the rest of their lives, believing in their hearts that they are your favorite. I love you, my Granny. "Always stay as sweet as you are."

We loved the crowded holiday dinners when we were little and lived far away and that the candy jars were always full. We love that your home was always there and open to us with little or no notice, sometimes for months. We loved your down to earth advice, sometimes, your devotion to Jerry and your family, your generosity, graciousness and wry sense of humor. We love that you were part of our lives, dear Agnes.
