WILLIAM JOHN THOMAS, Sr., age 83, retired Philadelphia Police Sergeant and US Navy Veteran, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2021. Devoted husband to Jean Thomas (nee Scholtz). Loving father to Susan Kraus (Louis), Michael Thomas (Mary Ellen), Kevin Thomas (Therese), and the late William J. Thomas, Jr. (Joan). Beloved grandfather to Candice, Ryan, Amber, Andrew, Kristin, Sean and Kaitlyn and dear great grandfather to Ramona, Elijah, Persephone, Watson, Ava and Carsyn. Beloved brother to the late Charles Thomas (Judith). William was also predeceased by his parents, the late Richard and Helen Thomas (nee Condon).

Relatives, friends and members of St. Christopher 50+ Club are invited to his viewing Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from 9:30am until 10:30am at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia PA 19116, immediately followed by his funeral mass 10:30am. His burial with military honors will be in the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

Attendees must wear a mask, practice social distancing and refrain from physical contact.
