Obituary for Rosina Procaccino (Amodei)
ROSINA PROCACCINO (nee Amodei), age 89, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Devoted wife to Virgilio Procaccino. Loving mother to Vincenzo Procaccino and his wife, Diane. Beloved grandmother to Francesca and Sophia Procaccino. Dear sister to Pierina Saturno and the late Giovannina Angelone, Mario Amodei, Maria Amodei, and Elisa Straface. Rosina is also predeceased by her parents, the late Nicodemo and Adelina Amodei.
Rosina immigrated to Philadelphia from Colli a Volturno, Italy, in 1954. She, along with Virgilio, worked very hard to build a wonderful life. She was employed in various capacities until 1963 when she became a full-time homemaker, at which she excelled. She loved to cook and bake; in particular, many people enjoyed and raved about her pizza. Rosina cherished her time with her granddaughters, Francesca and Sophia. They had an amazing relationship and brought much joy into each other’s lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Tuesday, August 24, 2021, from 8:45am until 10:15am at Louis A. DiGiacomo Funeral Home Inc., 1055 Southampton Road, Philadelphia PA 19116, followed by her funeral mass 11:00am at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia PA 19116. Entombment Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, Feasterville PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grane Hospice, 1012 West 9th Avenue, King of Prussia PA 19406.
