Obituary for Peter F. Stampone
PETER F. STAMPONE, age 89, passed away peacefully at his home on June 19, 2019. Devoted husband to Joan (nee Kramer). Loving father to Joseph P. Stampone, Esq., and his wife, Julia; Frederick A. Stampone and his companion, Honey Ackermann; and Peter N. Stampone and his wife, MaryEllen. Beloved grandfather to Nicole Stampone Zamulinsky (Stephen), Peter Stampone, Joseph Stampone (Lindsey), Daniel Stampone, Andrea Stampone, Tyler Stampone (Mallory), Nicholas Stampone (Julie), Scott Stampone, Michele Stampone, Stephanie Patras (Nicholas) and Peter Stampone (Gina). Cherished great grandfather to Charles, Stevie, Danny, Layla, Luca and Sloane. Dear brother to the late Nicholas Stampone, Joseph Stampone and Peter Stampone.
Pete was a longtime member of the Tacony-Mayfair Lodge Order of the Sons of Italy; a democratic committeeman of the 41st ward for over 40 years; a member of the Drywall Finishers Union Local 1954; a longtime youth sports coach for Moss A.A. and Mayfair A.C.; a Naval Reservist; and was well known for his dancing and his harmonica & rhythm bone playing. But Pete would quickly tell you he was most proud of his family as his biggest accomplishment.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday, June 23, 2019, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at L. A. DiGIACOMO, INC. FUNERAL HOME, 1055 Southampton Rd., Phila. PA 19116, and Monday, June 24, 2019, from 9:15am until 10:45am at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 7051 Tulip St., Phila. PA 19135, followed by funeral mass 11:00am. Interment will be in St. Dominic Cemetery, Philadelphia.
