Obituary for Peter A. "Pete" DiGiuseppe

PETER “PETE” DiGIUSEPPE, age 90, retired local 1050 union carpenter who served in the US Army during the Korean War, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2022. Devoted husband to the late Bettina DiGiuseppe (nee Santora). Loving father to Peter L. DiGiuseppe (fiancée Lorraine Boris), Steve DiGiuseppe (fiancée Tara Fledderjohann), and Paul DiGiuseppe (Donna). Beloved grandfather to Christopher, Nicholas, Danny and Megan. Dear brother to Mario DiGiuseppe and the late Angelina Bellenzeni (the late Angelo).

Peter worked as a carpenter until his retirement. Earlier in his career, he had his own business and workshop, where he performed fine custom carpentry work. He was very active at St. Anselm Church, serving as an usher for Sunday masses for nearly four decades, until health issues prevented him from continuing. After not being able to continue his usher duties, Peter worked in the accounting room, helping to sort the Sunday collections. He also volunteered for the yearly church carnival, organizing and scheduling other volunteers. While working full-time, he did volunteer carpentry work for St. Anselm Church, including building the stations of the cross and a side altar. Peter was also a volunteer for the Delaware Veterans Home and received a certificate of recognition in 2005 by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday evening, August 18, 2022, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, and Friday morning, August 19, 2022, from 8:30am until 9:45am at Louis A. DiGiacomo Funeral Home, Inc., 1055 Southampton Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116, followed by his funeral mass 10:30am at St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Phialdelphia, PA 19154. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
