ORVILLE T. “Bud” BALLARD, age 78, Retired Philadelphia Police Captain, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband to Dorothy (nee Westermann). Loving father to Debbie Hayes and her husband, David; Dottie Thomas and her husband, Stephen; and Tom Ballard. Beloved grandfather to Christopher, Leighton, Allison, Stephen, Amanda and Ryan and dear great grandfather to Landon and Brynlee. Relatives, friends and members of FOP Lodge#5 are invited to his viewing Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 9:00am until 10:30am at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116, followed by funeral mass 10:30am. Interment private.
