Obituary for Marie Gizzi (Rappa)
MARIE GIZZI of Ocean City, New Jersey, formerly Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on September 17, 2021.
Marie was born on October 15th, 1924. Marie’s greatest love and pride are her son and daughter, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her friends in Ocean City, NJ. Marie enjoyed meeting people while working at the fudge kitchen for years on Ocean City’s famous boardwalk where she is a legendary icon.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Janet Cerruti, her sister Anna Rappa Miller, four grandsons and their mother Barbara Gizzi. Tom Gizzi (Holly), Anthony Gizzi (Jackie), Joseph Gizzi (Kristiana), Michael Gizzi (Sarah).
Pride and joy of her older years were her great grandchildren: Gena, Hannah, Gabrielle, Leah, Maximus, Isabella, Annabella, Julius and Gabe.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gizzi, her father, Anthony Rappa, (Poppy Rap), mother, Anna Rappa and her loving son Thomas Gizzi 490, (Band of the Hand).
Relatives and friends are invited to Marie's graveside service and burial on Friday September 24, 2021, at 2pm, Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
