Obituary for Luigi Corrado

LUIGI CORRADO, age 82, Founder of Corrado and Sons, Inc., passed away peacefully on September 20, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband to Maria (nee Santoro). Loving father to Angelo Corrado and his wife, Pam; Piero Corrado; Sandro Corrado and his wife, Hristina; and Maurizio Corrado. Beloved grandfather to Shena Hesselbein and her husband, Brad; Jo Wilde and her husband, Chris; Angela Dietrich and husband, Tyler; Annamaria Leib and her husband, Nick; Luigi Nicholas Corrado; Natalie Corrado; Nastassja Corrado; and Luigi Stefano Corrado. Cherished great grandfather to Samuel, Parker and Weston. Dear brother to Maria Schiavone and her husband, Michele; and Lidia Esposito and her husband, the late Vincenzo.

Luigi and Maria married in 1960 and quickly emigrated to Germany to pursue work. After the birth of their first son, they returned to Italy where Luigi established a stable business and became a local leader, serving officially on the town counsel. After the birth of their fourth son, Luigi and Maria emigrated to America in 1974. Luigi continued his trade as a master stone and brick mason before starting his own businesses in 1986 with his son Piero. Joined soon thereafter by his other sons, he helped establish Corrado & Sons into one of the area’s most prestigious masonry companies. His company performed work on many of the region’s most prestigious institutions, such as Villanova University, Bryn Athyn College, The Baldwin School, Rolex Watch Company, and many more. Luigi was an avid gardener, hunter, and true outdoorsman, who dedicated his entire life to his family and to his vocation.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 9:00AM until 10:45AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446, immediately followed by his funeral mass, 11:00AM. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, Pennsylvania.
