Obituary for Leonard V. Laurito Jr.
LEONARD V. LAURITO, JR., age 93, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2022. Devoted husband of 58 years to the late Chiarina (nee Galasso). Loving father to Donna Cochran (Brian), Leonard A. Laurito (Suzanne), and Lucia Almeida (John). Beloved grandfather to Ashley, Jesse, Helene, Eve, Dylan, Alyssa, and Kyle. Dear brother to the late Anthony Laurito (the late Mae), the late Rita Carlson (the late Courtney), and the late Annamarie Barker (the late Bruce),
Len was a 50+ year parishioner of St. Christopher Church, serving as former President of St. Christopher Church Seniors Club. He was a longtime manager of several Linton’s restaurants and food service manager at Nazareth Hospital. He was an avid bowler, world traveler, gardener, chocolate covered pretzel, fig and dessert lover. Len honorably served as a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and Rosary devotee. He was also active in South Philadelphia High School for Boys Alumni Class of 1947.
Relatives, friends, members of St. Christopher 50+ Club, and members of the Knights of Columbus St. Katharine Drexel Council #3968, are invited to his viewing Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 9:30AM until 10:45AM at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Phila., PA 19116, immediately followed by his funeral mass 11:00AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
