LAURA B. ALTOMARE (nee Fleischer), age 71, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2023. Devoted wife for 30 years to the late Joseph Altomare. Loving mother to Jeffrey Cohen (Andrea), Rachel Maleski (Jason), and Joanna Parker (Bobby). Beloved grandmother to Autumn, Brianna, Zachary, Samantha, and Sarah. Dear sister to the late Ellen Cunningham (John).
Laura was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY before relocating with her family first to Camp Hill, PA and then Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from George Washington High School in Philadelphia, she went on to earn a certificate as a medical assistant. She lived her life in service to others, working first as a patient and nursing aide before finding her passion as a preschool teacher. Laura’s legacy is one of care and compassion for others and has left a lasting impression on everyone who was fortunate to be a part of her life. Above all, her family was the most important part of her life, always ensuring that her children and grandchildren felt a connection to the generations that came before them through stories, traditions, and photographs.
The family invites you to share memories at a celebration of life scheduled for April 10, 2023 from 2-4pm in the Shangri-La Room at Richboro Nursing and Rehab, 253 Twining Ford Rd, Richboro, PA 18954. Interment is private.
