KEVIN JOSEPH KEENAN, SR, age 66, passed away suddenly on July 28, 2022. Devoted husband to Gerri (nee Scherf). Loving father to Megan Misnik (John); Kevin J. Keenan, Jr. (Kelly); and Colleen Keenan. Cherished grandfather to Kevin III, Connor, Murphy, and Emma. Beloved brother to Mary Jo Keenan, Jack Keenan (Pat), Brian Keenan (Kim) and the late Baby Joseph Keenan. Loving son to the late Gloria Keenan (nee Lotierzo).
Kevin was with Gerri, the love of his life, for 43 years; 38 of those as a devoted husband. His children were his pride and joy and he loved any chance to share how proud his children made him. While they were young, he was actively involved in their many sports and activities, notably Athletic Director at St. Leo the Great for over 10 years and volunteer at the 12th man club for Father Judge Football. Once his children were grown, he happily took on the role of providing safe transportation day or night for his children and any of their friends. In addition, he served on the board of directors for Quaker City Dart League for over 10 years where he made friendships that last a lifetime.
Becoming a grandfather was one of the greatest moments of his life, which he was blessed to experience four times. He spent his retirement years doting on the four of them with love. Kevin truly loved his dogs and his grand-dogs. He cared for them all as true members of the family. In Kevin and Gerri's new home, he recently became an avid backyard bird watcher.
Kevin was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him and loved him. He will not be forgotten.
