JOHN J. BURKE (JACK), age 91, former Mounted Philadelphia Police Officer, retired Captain in the Federal Protective Services, and a US Army Korean War Veteran, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2022, at Buckingham Valley Rehab with his family by his side. Devoted husband to the late Dorothy Burke (nee Feeney). Loving father to John J. Burke, Jr.; Robert Burke and his wife, Patricia; Dorothy LaVelle and her husband, Michael; and Joann Molz and her husband, Rick. Beloved grandfather to Kelly, Robert, Joey, Tommy, Michael, Meghan, Ricky and Ryan. Cherished great grandfather to Addyson, Ryan, Curran, Connor, Michael, Emma, Joey LaVelle, Mila, Benny, Lucy, Jackson, Braelynn, Joey Burke, Brynn, Caragh, Luke, and Jack. Dear brother to Pat Santoro and the late Mary Burke, Alice Gross (the late Charles), Theresa LaSalvia, Thomas Burke (the late Betty), Walter Burke and baby James Burke.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 9:30am until 10:45am at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116, followed by his funeral mass at 11:00am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem PA.
