HUBERT "PETE" LEONARD, age 94, of Somerton, a US Navy WWII Veteran and US Air Force Korean War Veteran, passed away peacefully at Paul’s Run on June 4, 2022. Devoted husband to the late Grace V. Leonard (nee Davis). Loving father to Susan Mautz and her husband, William; Reverend Peter Leonard, OSFS; Paul Leonard and his wife, Christine; and Sharon Hoffman and her husband, David. Beloved grandfather to Andrew (Emily), Kimberly (Jeff), Genevieve (Seth), Laura (Tim), Emily (Sean), Kylie, and Xavier. Cherished great grandfather to Carter, Shealyn, Dylan, Aidan, Brynn, and the late Jaxon. Dear brother to the late John Leonard (the late Mary), James Leonard, Thomas Leonard (the late Rosemary), Robert Leonard, and Timothy Leonard.

Hubert enjoyed his family, taking the ocean temp daily on LBI and watching his Phillies. He worked for the Defense Industrial Supply Center and after retirement worked another 20 years as a teacher in the Philadelphia school system. Hubert was a Eucharistic minister for many years. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 8:45am until 9:45am at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116, immediately followed by his funeral mass at 10:00am. Interment at New Cathedral Cemetery, Philadelphia.
