GEORGINE M. FAVILLE (nee Rose), age 84, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2021, with her family by her side. Devoted wife to Albert J. Faville. Loving mother to Elizabeth Brown and her husband, Gary; Christine Cammarata and her husband, Joseph; Jacqueline Fey and her late husband, Roger; and Vincent Faville and his wife, Cyndi. Beloved grandmother to Brandon Fey, Tyler Fey, Nicolas Faville, Sophia Faville, and Adrianna Faville. Dear sister to Harry Rose and his wife, Carol; Betty Anne Rose Francis and her husband, Bruce; and James Rose and his wife, Linda.
Georgine was born in Pottsville, PA, on August 5, 1937 to the late Elizabeth and Harry Rose. She graduated from Cass Township High School in Primrose, PA, and then moved to Philadelphia to attend St. Mary’s Hospital Nursing School, where she graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1958. She continued to work at the hospital as a Recovery Room Nurse, remaining in touch with her Nursing school classmates and attending every reunion.
On June 22, 1962, Georgine married her sweetheart, Al Faville. Shortly thereafter they moved to their home in Somerton in St. Christopher’s Parish where they raised their four children. She continued working as an industrial nurse at Yale and Towne and then for 20 years at Nabisco. Georgine primarily worked the night shift so she could be home for her children.
Georgine’s favorite days were spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Everyone would gather for her amazing homemade meals. She loved spending time at their beach home in Ocean City, NJ, inviting family and friends for long weekends and more delicious food.
Al and Georgine loved to travel and had many adventures exploring the world together and with their children. They were active members of the St. Christopher over 50 Club. Georgine had an incredible work ethic. She was known for being an excellent cook, developing unique recipes, baking, and hosting every family holiday and special occasion. She took great pride in her home and her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Monday, December 13, 2021, from 10:00am until 11:15am at LOUIS A. DiGIACOMO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1055 Southampton Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116, followed by her funeral mass, 12:00pm at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia PA 19116. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, Pennsylvania.
