Obituary for Frederick E. Apple Sr.
FREDERICK E. APPLE, SR., age 89, former Philadelphia Police sergeant and Korean War Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2020. Devoted husband of 64 years to Jeanne M. Apple (nee Kryszat). Loving father to Frederick E. Apple, Jr. and his wife, Lydia; Lynne Lombardo and her husband, Anthony; and Glenn W. Apple and his wife, Tracy. Beloved grandfather to Elizabeth L. Apple, Ryan F. Lombardo, Luke Apple, Melody Apple and Christopher Apple. Dear brother to Louise Jackson and her husband, the late Donald Jackson.
A private visitation will be held Friday, June 5, 2020 from 9:45am until 11:00am at L. A. DiGiacomo Funeral Home, Inc. 1055 Southampton Road, Philadelphia, followed by a private funeral service at 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Hero Thrill Show, Inc., 1125 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
