I will miss my good friend Fred. Fred and Jeanie welcomed me into their extended family over 20 years ago when my fiance Lori first introduced me. I always enjoyed talking to him and working with him on projects around his house. Being older than I am, he had many interesting stories about the early days of Philly sports and his experiences as a Philadelphia Park Guard, Police Detective and Police officer. He was a good friend to Lori and me and we had many nights together having dinner, talking, and having a few laughs. He was a good organist although he didn’t think so. One day he brought over his electric piano to play along with me on my drums even thought I didn’t think it was such a great idea. It didn’t go well but we had a lot of fun trying to hack out a few tunes. When Lori was going through some bad times and later became very ill, he and Jeannie were always there for her. After Lori died, I’ll never forget how Fred would call now and then just to check in on me to make sure I was okay. He was a good man a great friend, a great husband, father and grandfather. I am proud to have known him. I will truly miss my good friend Fred.
