Obituary for Caroline M. Chwieroth (Coia)

CAROLINE M. CHWIEROTH (nee Coia), age 86, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023. Loving wife to the late Henry J. “Ed” Chwieroth and dear sister to Thomas Coia. Devoted mother to Michael Chwieroth (Cheryl), Thomas Chwieroth (Lisa), Carolyn Strubinger (Jerry), and Caren Martin (Thomas). Beloved grandmother to Thomas, Christie, Catrina, Olivia, Matthew, Michael, and Caroline. Cherished great grandmother to Finnley, Stella and Emilia.

Caroline will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family as a sister, wife, mother, and Meme, and her years of service to her community. For over 40 years, Caroline was the Community Relations/Human Resources Manager at the Bensalem McDonald's. She was awarded McDonald’s employee of the year and received many special recognitions from the community. She touched the lives of countless employees and community members. She planned many events for the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House that brought smiles to so many children and their families.

She gave her whole heart to giving back. She participated in local school fundraisers, Lion’s Club, Rotary Club, local business activities, township events and was dedicated to supporting the Bensalem police and fire departments. While raising her children, she was a proud volunteer at Watson Comly Elementary School and Archbishop Ryan High School. Many knew her as Mrs. C, the gym mom, president of the parents organization, organizer of countless school fundraisers, and Brownie Troop and Cub Scout leader. Caroline will be deeply missed and will always be remembered with heartfelt gratitude for all that she did for so many.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 9:00am until 10:30am at Louis A. DiGiacomo Funeral Home, Inc., 1055 Southampton
Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116, immediately followed by services 10:30am at the funeral home. Entombment Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum.
